After graduating, he gained experience working in Southern California art museums and galleries between 1990 and 1995. In 1995, he began collaborating with the private art dealer Suzanne Zada of Beverly Hills. Relocating to Chicago in 1996, Baylor dedicated himself to a full-time career as an owner operator for Mason Dixon Trucking while producing fine art paintings for Suzanne's California clients.
Reggie relocated to Milwaukee in 1998, where Baylor's career took a significant turn when he met Sande Robinson, an avid art collector and member of the Board of Trustees of the Milwaukee Art Museum. Robinson introduced Baylor to Curtis L. Carter, Professor of Aesthetics at Marquette University and chief curator of the Haggerty Museum of Art, who scheduled Baylor's first large exhibition in Milwaukee.
His works have been featured in numerous private and public collections, including the Milwaukee Art Museum and the Museum of Wisconsin Art. Baylor's art continues to captivate audiences with its unique blend of nostalgia and futuristic vision.
